Body-Solid GFID71B Flat Incline Decline Bench FAQs

Helpful answers about setup, compatibility, warranty, and more.

Answered by the Gymbuild team

How does the bench adjust?

The GFID71B has independent back and seat adjustments. The back pad adjusts to six positions: -15°, 0°, 25°, 45°, 60°, and 80°.

The seat pad adjusts to seven positions: -10°, 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, and 60°, giving you a range of flat, incline, and decline setups for different exercises.

How much space does it require?

When assembled, the GFID71B measures 68" L × 28" W × 19" H.

When the back pad is raised, the bench reaches approximately 54" high, so allow enough surrounding space to adjust the bench and use it comfortably with your training setup.

How much weight can the GFID71B support?

The GFID71B has a 600 lb weight capacity.

What exercises can you perform?

The adjustable bench supports exercises including bench presses, shoulder presses, ab crunches, triceps kickbacks, dips, and seated biceps curls.

Its independent back and seat positions let you change the training angle for flat, incline, decline, and upright movements.

What is the leg hold-down used for?

The GFID71B includes a T-Bar leg hold-down for use with decline exercise setups.

It can be used with the bench's decline position for movements such as bent-knee ab crunches, helping keep your legs positioned during the exercise.

What warranty applies to the GFID71B?

The GFID71B is covered by the Body-Solid In-Home Lifetime Warranty and Body-Solid Full Commercial Warranty.

Coverage varies by component; the complete coverage details are shown in the Warranty & Returns tab.
