The Body-Solid GS348B Series 7 Smith Machine combines a linear ball-bearing Smith system with a free-weight half-rack setup in one commercial-rated strength station. The 7° frame angle and dual guided/free-weight training positions give lifters two distinct ways to perform barbell strength work from the same footprint.

The Smith side uses a 25 lb guided bar with 20 lockout positions and a 600 lb capacity, while the free-weight side adds a 1,000 lb gunrack with 14 lift-off positions and 17" safety spotter arms. Six Olympic plate storage posts and an integrated bar holder keep plates and a free-weight bar organized between sets.

How much space does the GS348B require?

When assembled, the GS348B measures 56" L × 70" W × 83" H.

The 83" overall height and 70" overall width are important dimensions to check when planning the training area and choosing where the Smith machine will be installed.

Can I use the GS348B for both Smith and free-weight training?

Yes. The GS348B combines a linear-bearing Smith system with a free-weight gunrack and safety spotter arms, so you can use the same frame for guided Smith exercises and barbell training.

The Smith bar starts at 25 lb and is rated for up to 600 lb, while the free-weight gunrack is rated for up to 1,000 lb and provides 14 racking positions.

What attachments can be added to the GS348B?

The Series 7 system supports the GLA348BS lat attachment, GPA3B pec attachment, GPU348 pull-up bar, and GAP348 aluminum pulley upgrade.

Compatibility depends on the setup: the GPA3B requires the GLA348BS, and the GPU348 cannot be used while the GLA348BS is installed.

Are Olympic weight plates included?

No. Olympic weight plates and collars are sold separately.

The Smith bar is designed for 2" Olympic plates, and the frame also includes six Olympic plate storage posts.

How will this product be delivered?

The GS348B ships by freight with curbside delivery. Because the Smith machine is a large, heavy shipment, delivery is handled differently from a standard parcel order.

After the shipment is transferred to the freight carrier, the carrier will use the phone number provided at checkout to contact you and coordinate delivery. Make sure the contact information on your order is accurate and that someone is available to receive the shipment.
