The Body-Solid GSRM40B Seated Row is a plate-loaded back machine designed for seated-row training in home and commercial settings. Its adjustable design, extra-thick DuraFirm™ chest and seat pads, and foam-padded foot braces support stable positioning through a full range of motion.

Four-way handgrips widen or narrow to vary the rowing position, while oil-lite bronze bushings are used at the pivot points. The machine uses 1-inch standard weight posts, and an optional OAS14 Olympic Adapter Sleeve can convert the posts for 2-inch Olympic plates.

Key Features

  • Four-Way Handgrips: Widen or narrow to vary the rowing position.
  • DuraFirm™ Padding: Extra-thick chest and seat pads provide a supported training position.
  • Easy-Access Plate Loading: Plate-loaded resistance is positioned for straightforward weight changes.
  • 1-Inch Standard Weight Posts: Supports standard weight plates with optional Olympic sleeve conversion.
  • Oil-Lite Pivot Bushings: Bronze bushings are used at all pivot points.
  • Padded Foot Braces: Extra-thick foam padding supports the rowing position.

Body-Solid GSRM40B Seated Row FAQs

Helpful answers about setup, compatibility, warranty, and more.

Answered by the Gymbuild team

How much space does it require?

When assembled, the GSRM40B measures 56" L × 43" W × 39" H.

Allow additional room around the machine for loading weight plates and getting into position comfortably.

What weight plates can I use?

The GSRM40B uses 1" standard weight posts for its plate-loaded resistance system. Weight plates are sold separately.

If you use Olympic plates, optional Olympic adapter sleeves can convert the posts for 2" Olympic plates.

What is the GSRM40B's weight capacity?

The GSRM40B has a 300 lb weight capacity.

What do the four-way handgrips change?

The four-way handgrips can be positioned wider or narrower, allowing you to change your grip position during seated rows.

This lets you vary how the movement targets the middle back while maintaining the chest-supported rowing position.

What warranty applies to the GSRM40B?

The GSRM40B is covered by Body-Solid's In-Home Lifetime Warranty and Light Commercial Warranty.

Coverage varies by component; the complete coverage details are shown in the Warranty & Returns tab.
